Award-winning, hands-on STEAM classes, camps, Girl Scout badge workshops and birthday parties for Omaha kids, with no screens in sight. (Sponsored)

Challenge Island Omaha Northwest gives local kids a hands-on way to learn science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) without a screen in sight.

The program brings award-winning STEAM activities to children of all ages, from Pre-K to 100. Kids work together in small groups called STEAM Teams, using a variety of simple, low-tech supplies to solve engineering challenges.

Families have plenty of ways to get involved, including after-school classes, Girl Scout badge workshops, and week-long day camps with exciting themes, from space exploration to the popular Slimetopia series. Birthday parties are another favorite, with options like a Hawaiian luau complete with erupting volcanoes or a custom party built around your child's interests. In addition, family engagement nights hosted through schools let parents and kids take on the same challenges side by side.

Camps, birthday parties, and special events are available by reservation. They can also come to K-12 schools for on-site field trips and family nights, or provide intergenerational programs for schools and 55+ living facilities. To see current classes and camps or to ask about booking a party, visit Challenge Island Omaha Northwest's website.
